Netgear as router mode (netgear 7000p

Hi i have à huawei hg8245h modem/router 2in1 with my netgear 7000p i want to use full feature of the netgear problem is my isp dont allow bridge connection, so i have to use isp and netgear in router mode, every 3 hours in online gaming am having connection issue to server, but when i switch netgear to acess point i dnt have problem, but i want to the netgear as router as it improve my connection and quality any help ? Should i use a express vpn will it fix this connection to sever while playing online ?, i cant connect my câble to netgear directly as my isp is fiber optic câble any suggestion ? I tried dmz, disable fire wall etc same problem, if i use an express vpn on netgear in vpn section can this help fixing my issue

    If you're ISP doesn't allow bridge mode/passthrough/dmz then you might not be able to run the full features of the netgear without running into the issue you're having. Its unfortunate that your isp has locked it in that way.

    ATT is another provider that is good at not allowing or having poorly running passthrough mode.
