Netgear C3700 Modem/Router
my internet service provider is Comcast/Xfinity - I've had half a dozen service calls, new wiring new this speed tests by different technicians and this evening I'm told that it's my personal router/modem the Net Gear 3700 ok so I google Net gear and you can't talk to anyone in customer service unless you pay the fee. honestly I need to figure out why I'm paying Xfinity for 100 mbs of speed and getting less than 10 - it doesn't matter what time of day or what day of the week my speeds are REDICulous. Any suggestions on what I can try to fix this; signed, faithly yours - desperate mom

Is it 10 Mbps on wireless or on wired connections or both? Also did you upgrade to the C3700 recently it could be a coding issue on comcasts side where your old modem is still set to 100 mbps and your new one is set to the default 10.

thanks for the suggestion on how to fix it but there isn't any place on Subscriptions and notifications to change Settings ? so I'm still not able to fix the issue
