Netgear Cable modem and router Model C6900 Thermal Cut Off Mode

I have a storm during February in California recently. The storm sent my C6900 Modem into Thermal Cut Off Model. The power light is red, and all other light indicators are blinking, including the ethernet cable lights at the back of the cable modem and router.

I try to reset factory default by pressing the reset button at the back of the modem. I also try to unplug the power and keep the modem off for and away with any heat sources for a day.

Is the modem fried permanently? Is there way to bring the modem back from the thermal cut off mode?

Would installing the new firmware solved the thermal cut off mode issue?

Thanks any helps and suggestions.

Storms are great at wrecking expensive electronics sadly.

I'd be betting on in frying it based off what you've tried and it still having the same issues.
