Netgear CAX80 cable modem router
To piggy back off this. Where is the setting to disable firmware updates? I downgraded mine and it auto updates. I looked everywhere online on how to disable it.

Off what?
Where is the setting to disable firmware updates?Cable modem/routers are a bit different from most. You have no control over the firmware in the modem bit. That is down to you ISP.
On routers, the "Auto" switch is usually here:
- Advanced
- Administration
- Router Update
The manual suggests that it is in the same place for your device.

Oops looked like it created a whole new thread. I was attempting to hit reply to another thread where they were attempting to downgrade firmware.
I am aware of the modem side firmware being controlled by the ISP but there is no setting to disable firmware auto updates for the router side. I've been having some wi-fi issues since the last firmware update and after going to back 1 version seemed to fix it. After a day I noticed I started having issues again, checked the firmware, and noticed it was back to the updated version.
The manual has nothing about disabling updates. Its pages 63 and 64 of the user manual. It seems a bit silly to have the ability to downgrade if its just going to go update itself again. I just want to make sure I am not missing something here.

The CAX modems don't have the ability to disable auto FW updates.
