Netgear CM2050V compatible with Arakanis AN-110-RT-2L1W-WIFI

We recently updated our Xfinity WiFi & got a new modem (Netgear CM2050V). Ever since our router drops/fails! Are these compatible? What could be the source of this instability? Need to remedy ASAP as my entire home functions are disrupted.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status and event log page.

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.

Does the CM modem with with a direct connected PC or some other wifi router?

Are there any indications on the router on it's Internet port when this happens? Check it's user manual for LED indications on the routers LEDs.

What modem/gateway did you have in place prior to the CM2050V?

When you change a major component of your LAN, such as the modem, it is not usual to perform a full default reset of your router to force the router to forget the communication settings that were in place with the previous modem.  This would require you to setup and configure your router from scratch.

Since you replaced the modem, have you performed a sequential restart of your LAN?  If not, here are the steps.

Pull the power cord on your modem and disconnect the Ethernet cord.

Pull the power cord on your router and disconnect the Ethernet cord.

Plug in the cord to power up the modem and give it ample time (a few minutes) to boot and connect to your internet service provider (ISP).  One of the last indicators to illuminate will be the one that shows internet connection.

Connect your Ethernet cord from the output of the modem to the WAN input on your router.

Plug in the cord and push the on button to power up the router and give it ample time (a few minutes) to boot and connect to the internet.  One of the last indicators to illuminate will be the one that shows internet connection.

Did the internet indicator on your router light up as white?  If yes, check for stable internet access from devices connected to your router via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable.
