The Xfinity list of Recommended Devices for Our Internet Plans now references a NETGEAR CM3000 unit.  What might this be?  Perhaps it is a forthcoming cable modem that supports DOCSIS 4.0?

That list has been revised/updated several times.  The most recent version, dated September 25, 2023, shows the CM3000 listed as compatible but not listed as recommended for the Comcast pre 10G network.   Until a number of the units are actually deployed and connected to the Comcast network for a time, it most likely will not move into the recommended category.  Eventually it should have full Comcast approval for their 10G network.

On the Charter-Spectrum list of approved modems, the CM3000 is listed as a DOCSIS 3.1 device.  Attached is the OEM manual.  The technical specifications are on the last page.
