Netgear D6300 Issues
Hi all,
I am having an issue with my Netgear d6300 router. Now my situation is as follows. I live in a granny flat. The modem is located in the main house. there is a cable running to the granny flat underground. Now from my wall socket i have a cable running to my netgear d6300 router. I have been using this for 10 months with no issues. WiFi works as well as all the Ethernet connections i have running from the D6300 router to my devices (TV, PS4, Minix box).
Now my issue happened a few days ago, i come home and tried to connect to WiFi and it didn't work. So after doing some research i ended up having to assign a static IP to my Samsung note 5 phone in order to connect to WiFi. so with that sorted i turn on my minix box (Android box) to watch some shows. To my surprise it says Ethernet disconnected and i am unable to connect to WiFi. So i:
*change Ethernet cables, nothing changes
*change Ethernet position on back of router, nothing changes
*turn off my router and Factory reset it, Briefly works then disconnects again.
*Then i take it to my sisters room in the main house and try it on her TV and Ethernet and within seconds it connects
*Take it back to my granny flat, but this time instead of connecting it via the router, i disconnect rotuer and plug minix box straight into the wall socket and walaaaa, it works straight away.Tried multiple cable all works, then retry it via the router and no connection. My PS4 connects via router, so does my TV but not always.
All this leads me to believe that the router is at fault. Thoughts or suggestions????

You've chosen a "Cable Modems & Routers" forum to discuss your DSL
modem+router (being used as a plain router, I gather), and I can't tell
what "it" means in half of its occurences, but, ...

Seems that way. You might try the usual panacea, a full ("factory")
reset, and then reconfiguration. You can try saving and restoring the
settings, but if they're corrupt, then a manual reconfiguration might
work better.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual, and look for "reset".- MoemacAspirantI already done a reset, if you mean by pressing in the button at the back, anyways im going to follow the link and your instructions and ill report back, thank you soo much for the reply
