NETGEAR DGN2200V4 ROUTER SETUP - wifi speed issues

Question

I've set up my DGN2200v4 as WAN only to use it as a router. ISP and LAN speed is 100 mbps. The modem is netgear nighthawk CM1100. WIFI is barely getting 5 mbps. I've changed the channel and lowered the MTU, but it has had no effect with on the speed.

also, when i use the NETGEAR ANALYTICS app on my phone, it reads at 50+ mbps while speed test sights read less than 5 mbps.

any way to increase the speed of the DGN2200v4?

Also be ware of older modems and WiFi, this model only supports the following:

IEEE® 802.11 b/g 2.4 GHz with some n features

So WiFi speeds maybe slow.

Might be time to upgrade WiFi.
