NETGEAR Genie traffic calculator
Hi there,
I'm in the process of choosing a Netgear device that will allow me to check/control my internet traffic, and since I have no idea how Genie does it (meaning: which port(s) it calculates traffic on), my question is: do I need to buy a DSL/ADSL modem, or will a Router or even Switch do (as long as it's on the list of Genie supported devices, of course)? I intend to connect it between my modem (satellite internet) and my "proper" router (Apple AirPort Extreme) with the sheer purpose of counting all the traffic that goes through it - will this work?

Hello Swavek
You will just need a Genie supported device to do this there is also software that can do this.
