Netgear Nighthawk C7000 - Cant connect to 2.4 ghz. WIFI on home screen says its turned off....

Two days ago I was just sitting there on nextflix and all of the sudden my c7000 just reset. I orginally thought it was an outage but after talking to xfinity the next day they said everything on their end was fine. I unplugged it for few minutes. All the lights came back on EXCEPT the 2.4ghz light. My 5ghz works great but the range on it isnt. I went on my home page genie to see if i could turn on the radio for the 2.4 ghz and the Wifi said it was off.

Anytime I tried to click on the wifi and enable the 2.4ghz radio my modem just resets and I have to go through this process of unplugging and plugging it back in several time over the next 10-15 minutes. Anytime I try and click on anything Wireless it also resets the modem and doesnt reconnect. This is the screen i can get to but if i enable wireless gateway and click apply the modem restarts and i just get 3 blinking lights under a solid power button.

I have tried a factory reset (4 times ) . I have called netgear support. I was on hold for over an hour and the lady told me she could help me but i had to pay $49.99 for the information and if I didnt work I wasnt under warranty. Can someone please help me??

Press the reset button for 15 seconds then release. Let modem come to ready to configure.

Before using a wired PC to connect to the modems web page, use a wireless phone or pad to see if you can see the default SSID being broadcast. May see NETGEAR and NETGEAR-5G. If not, walk thru the setup wizard with the wired PC, leave the default SSID name and PWs and complete the setup wizard. Check again to see if you can see the default SSID names on any wifi device.

If you don't or the wifi icon is disabled, then the modem needs to be replaced or and NG for an RMA if thats an option.
