Something to contact the ISP about since they are the ones that control FW updates on C series modems. Most likely won't see anything since is this is a older generation cable gateway and maybe EoL. So if it's working, continue to use it, if it's not, might be time for something new. 

the C6250 is a pretty old modem and only docsis 3.0. New firmware takes certification on modem/router combo devices. And that costs quite a bit of money to do. Even some of the newer docsis 3.1 modem only devices aren't getting recertified. I'm highly doubtful they'll do anything with that device.
