New Netgear Modem installed and Now Can't Login to Router when Modem cable is connected HELP
I have had a r6300 for a few years with no real issues. I upgraded my motorola modem to a new netgear modem cm500 today. Internet works fine directly and when connected to the router, but now I can not log in to the router (192.168.1.1) with the new modem line connected. I can only connect when I unplug it and power cycle the router. I have tried from multiple devices/ browsers. I can ping the router and the genie app can see the attached devices. There has to be a weird setting inside the router that is conflicting with the new Netgear Modem.. The modem has an IP address of 192.168.100.1 but is just a modem and doesn't handle any DHCP Routing or anything so don't know why that would screw anything up. I can log into the modem when connected to the router but not the router itself. HELP!

Does the default gateway address change on the router when connected to the modem?
