nighthawk c7000v2 wifi not working properly
hi, i got the c7000v2 router modem and it works but the wifi doesnt function right. the wifi on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz has constant packet loss and when i download something, i can no longer browse the internet on the computer that i am downloading on but if i go to another device, like my laptop, i can browse the internet no problem. this happens to all devices and is not a bandwidth throttle.
can anyone help me out? i cant ask netgear for help because they want me to pay for call, chat, and email support services

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?Using separate SSID names for each radio?
Any beamforming or WMM enabled?
Does wired downloads work ok?
What is the Mfr and model# of the wired and wireless adapter in this particular computer?
Does the laptop have same problems downloading on wireless?
- hiyallAspirantHi, there are a lot of WiFi networks nearby.
I only use my 5GHz signal and the names for my internet signals are the same but with 2.4 and 5 at the end so I know which signal is which. I set the 5GHz channel to I think it was 100 and didn't improve my performance.
I have this problem on all devices that's on wifi but wired connection does work perfectly fine.
I am using this card in my computer TP-Link AC1300.
I don't think I'm using beam forwarding either- FURRYe38Guru - Experienced User
What neighbors are using channels on 5Ghz?
Try setting 5Ghz channel to 36 thru 48 or 149 thru 165 and see. Find channels that your neighbors are not using in those channel ranges.
Is Beamforming a feature on this model? If it is, enable it.
Ensure the TP-Link adapter drivers are up to date as well.
If the laptop works and the PC with this adapter doesn't, possible issue is with this adapter.
