Nighthawk C7800 keeps not recognizing network switch
I have my C7800 hooked up to a Trendnet TEG-S24Dg switch about 3 times over the last couple of months all my network connections would have no internet access (I use an AP and not onboard WiFi). It would be down up to a week the last time and then just come back up. I was out of town the last time when it was down for the week and switched the switch with a spare TP-Link TL-SG116 thinking the switch was bad as every time this happened I could connect a cable to the router and get internet. When I change switches I am able to get everything to connect again. Today it happened again all my devices just randomly drop off. I connected my computer to the router and logged into the router, only my connected computer shows up as a connected device. I again switch routers this time to a NetGear GS205 and boom and able to connect devices to it. When the cable is connected to the switch I still get my green activity lights even though I can't connect to anything. I have had this setup running without issues for about 1.5 years and all these issues have been over the last couple of months. Current Firmware Version V6.01.07.

What CAT# lan cables are you using? CAT6 would be recommended.
If switches work for a time then suddently stops working, try no switches connected to the modem. See if the modem continues to work with out any switches connected.
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch. Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.
