Nighthawk CAX30S - Xbox One X My voice isn't working

Hey guys, I just got this router/modem and I've set up all the port forwarding for my Xbox. I can hear other people talking, but my voice is not coming through.

 

Has anyone else had this issue? I've searched all over the internet, can't find anything. I've talked to Netgear support, and they were less than helpful. They made me downgrade the firmware, upgrade the firmware, and even sent me a new unreleased firmware version for it, to no avail.

 

They are now passing the buck to Xbox support saying it's their problem, when my old router/modem worked fine (another Netgear product) so clearly it is not the Xbox's problem.

 

Any help would be VERY appreciated.

    That is the natural first place to look.

     

    Unfortunately, the Xbox is a well known source of problems.

    While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

    You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

    You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.

    In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

    Check for various troubleshooting tips.

    You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

    I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

    What Firmware version is currently loaded?


    What ISP are you connected with? 

     

    How is the xbox connected? Wireless or wired to the modem? Wired is preferred.

     

    Try a different headset to be sure? 

     

    Is SPC or Armor enabled on the modem? 

     

    I've been gaming on my One X and Series X since February on my CAX30 just fine. Voice working all around.

    Both consoles ethernet connected. 

    Rig Pro 500 headset.
