Nighthawk X4S D7800 - Port Forwarding problem

Nighthawk X4S D7800

Router Firmware Version V1.0.1.16

I setup port forwarding as per the manual but I am not successfully connecting to my internal IP address. Please help.

Problem!  I could not see your service on 121.220.79.12 on port (2020).
Reason: Connection refused.

  • Something has to be listening on the opened port at 192.168.1.200 in order to respond to a port checking service.

If you don't have something running then Connection refused is actually a good sign because it signifies that 192.168.1.200 responded that nothing is listening on that port, which proves that the router forwarded the port.

NIghthawk X4S D7800 - port forwarding connection refused

I am able to access 192.168.1.200 (device) within my home network.

I tried to setup port forwarding on my D7800 router but Open Check Tool returned thi message "Problem!  I could not see your service on 137.147.139.17 on port (2020).
      Reason: Connection refused. "

I tried to check the port used for Remote Management, Open Check Tool "Your ISP/Router/Firewall is not blocking port 4444"

Is this something to do with the firewall?

      My PC setup:

      OS Windows 8.1

      Kaspersky Internet Securities 2016

      Malwarebytes Anti-malware Home

Currently my ISP using Dynamic IP

      Please help .

  • Check whether the firewall on the device at 192.168.1.200 is set to allow incoming connections to port 2020 from the Internet.
