Go up to the top of this page and click on Downloads.  In the box enter your model number, R7800 and select it from the list.  On the right hand side is a column with the most recent firmware.  At the bottom right edge of the column click on the downward caret and additional options will be provided.  At the very bottom is firmware version 1.0.0.28 which dates from 11/28/2016.

You are not going to be able to update from the earliest version to most current in one step.  You might have to update in several iterations.  When you are done, be sure and perform a firmware default reset.

To confirm the model, please give the C or R#### information. 

IF this is for the C7800 cable modem, then FW is not available for this model modem. 

Only ISPs can update FW on this model modem.

Maybe telling us what actual issue you're having before trying to mess with firmware might be a good idea. 

And like FURRYe38 says, if its the c7800 modem/router combo device, the firmware isn't user changeable.
