Orbi Mesh System
I currently own a Netgear C6300 modem/router combination. I'm considering purchasing an Orbi AX5400 mesh system. I know that the Orbi system is a router with satellite devices. Will the mesh system work in tandem with my current modem/router combo? If so, is it easy to setup without interruption to my current system? I'm somewhat tech savvy but I want to make sure that the Orbi system will be easy to connect and work seamlessly with my modem/router before purchasing. All responses will be helpful. Thanks.

Recommend putting the C seriies modem in modem only mode then connect the Orbi system to the modem.

For connecting the new AX5400 Mesh System, disable the C3600(C3600v2) routing, reconfiguring it to behave like a pure modem, just on one LAN port.
How do I set my NETGEAR cable modem router to function as a modem only?

Thanks for your response. I have another question but first this. My desktop computer and another device is connected directly to the modem/router. Once I turn my modem/router into a modem only and connect the mesh system (router), will the desktop, etc. be connected to the modem or the "new" router?
Sorry for my ignorance. 😞
Looking forward to your response.
