parental controls not blocking P2P

Hi,

I host a weekly Meetup and have my parental controls to block P2P sites.

Unfortunately, someone from these Meetups is still able to P2P inappropriate things, which is causing me to get "Copyright Infringement" notices...

Am I missing some other configuration step?

I thought about blocking the sites they are visiting but I'm not sure how to find out what these sites are.

Is there some way to tell what websites are being visited during my Meetups?  The notices I get don't give me what website is being visited, just the name of the file and the method (i.e. P2P).

I appreciate any advice/help any one can give me...

Thanks.

    Hello ashadow74

There is no easy answer to this situation because you can pay alot of money for firewalls to stop this from happening which is not the best solution. Also you can just block all the websites if you know what they are which is hard to keep track of. The best solution i could find is blocking all the ports P2P uses block UDP port 1024-65534. The one issue with doing this is you could end up blocking something that you don't want to by blocking all these ports. So you can give this a try and see if this works for you. Here is a article on how to do this in your netgear modem/router. Hope to hear your feedback.
