When doing the factory reset make sure you hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds to make sure it wipes all the old settings.

Why do I need to do a factory reset in order to change the password? What password should I use after the reset?&nbsp;

By the way, I am running Mac OS Sierra 10.12.3. FYI.
