Poor WiFi speed compared to Ethernet
After lots of troubleshooting with Xfinity and reading this forum I've determined that my internet connectivity issues are coming from poor Wi-Fi signals.
I have the R7000P router and when I connect my desktop through ethernet my speeds are on average 915 mpbs, disconnecting the ethernet and connecting to WiFi keeping the desktop in the same location lowers the speed to 9.9 mpbs. I'm not IT expert but I shouldn't be getting 1% of ethernet speeds via WiFi. This number is steadily declining as earlier today it was mid 200s.
Running a speed test on my phone's WiFi is getting similar results so I don't think it's the card in desktop.
I've checked the channels my WiFi are on and no one else in my neighborhood is using them.
Also my WiFi devices are constantly losing their connection altogether. I have between 18 and 22 devices depending on how many people are home and what's running. Besides testing nothing is ever connected via ethernet.
I updated my router firmware to the latest version but that's not helping.
I've also done a hard reset where I heled the button in for over 1min while unplugging and replugging it in. I've also rebooted the modem, router, and computer in the proper order waiting 2min between each.
I'm at my wits in, trying to figure this out. Hoping someone can help before I pay Netgear $49.99 or worst buy a new router.

What modem/gateway is it connected to?
What actual firmware are you on?
what device are you testing firmware on?
are you using smart connect? Thats where the router uses the same ssid for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. 5ghz is much much faster. 2.4ghz is slower, suffers from more interference but tends to broadcast further and through more materials.

Modem is CM1150V
Router firmware - V1.3.2.134_10.1.66
Testing with HP Touch screen all in one - 24-DP0014 & Samsung Galaxy S10+ phone
Note: As of now, my phone nor computer are actually able to access internet via wifi at the moment - saying connected no internet
Yes I'm using Smart Connect however my computer was connected to the 5.0 ghz channel when giving the above stats

try installing version 1.0.3.20 of the firmware to the r7000p
Then do a factory reset and new install. disable auto updates.
try that version .
