Ports Closing Randomly on newly installed Nighthawk
Recently installed a new Nighthawk CAX30
Running as a front end to a Windows 10 Web and Mail Server
Appropriate ports are opened on the server and on the Nighthawk
Everything works fine, until it doesn't. Sporadically, for no apparent reason (there IS a reason, I just can't find a pattern) all the ports are slammed shut. This happens randomly, sometimes a day, sometimes 4 or 5 times in an afternoon. At that point websites and mail can not be accessed from the outside world. Only solution is a reboot, and then everything works fine ... until it doesn't.
NetGear support is useless. Hoping the collective has experienced this issue and can point me in the right direction for a solution.. Constructive responses only, please
To summarize: new Nighthhawk modem/router. Port Forwarding is enabled and ports are open. Everything works as expected. Periodically on no particular schedule, all ports are closed and nothing works. Any ideas?
TIA - Dave
