Problems with my wifi speed
So i have a netgear router idk what model but the download speed is alot slower than upload and im talking about speed as slow as 3mbps for download it used to hit about 30 to 40 mbps

This doesn't help us at all.
You posted in the mobile routers/hotspots forum about a router that you don't know what it is. How would we know?
How are we supposed to know if its an expected speed, a problem, or just a settings problem if: A. We don't know what it is either. B. Don't know if its a router, mobile device, wireless adapter even.
If you'd like help, you need to help us out a little.
1. What model is this? Firmware on it?
2. If its a router. What modem are you using?
3. What speeds are you paying for (if its a router)
4. What are you testing with? This is a big one as you can have the fastest router in the world but if you're using an old iphone2, its going to be slow.
- It is a router model # c6300bd and i pay for unlimited idk what speed but as i said before they used to run up to 40-50 mbps now only upload speed does
Well a couple things.
1. The C6300bd was sold directly to cox. It is a netgear device but support is from cox for this device due to it being ISP supplied.
