R6220 firmware upgrade user name and password

I received an email to do a firmware upgrade to address a security issue. I went to routerlogin.net and did the check and started the download. Then it asked for a user name and password. I tried the ones listed on the unit. I tried the MyNETGEAR login, but nothing seems to work. What am I supposed to use?
