Random wireless reboots

Have had this router for around a year. Moved it to a different location in my house to better situate it to hardwire a new desktop pc. Since then, the 5ghz will randomly drop out multiple times throughout the day, router never reboots, just the light goes out and after about 30 seconds comes back up. Every other to every 3rd time the 2.4ghz drops out with it. I have checked router logs and see no reboots of the device. When I attempt to register or request communication with netgear, the system tells me my serial number is incorrect and won’t let me proceed, or even send an email to support. Anyone else have this issue? I have xfinity coming out tomm to investigate an issue that they claim is a connection issue with the wiring, but this seems hardware based.

How many characters are in your "my serial number"?  A (12-character)
MAC address can easily be mistaken for a (13-character) serial number.

If that agrees with the number on the product label on the device,
then you might be seeing one of many new problems in the Netgear support
        system (or an old one).
