Re: Can't connect to router (even after reset)

I have a similar problem with a few twists using a C6300 under Windows 10.  I was having connectivity issues with an application and one of the suggestions was to alter the NAT passthrough which I wasn't sure about but decided to set the router mode to NO.  That turned off Wi-Fi but I was still able to access the internet with Google but couldn't connect to the router using 192.168.0.1.  So I did a factory reset hoping to reload the config file I had saved a while ago.  No change even after power-cycling the router/modem.

I tried most of the suggestions above including ipconig /all and trying to connect 192.168.1.1 as well.  So I'm at a loss as to how to reconfigure the C6300.  I tried Netgear Genie but it can't find the C6300 either.  I guess the factory reset doesn't reset the router mode back to YES, which seems strange.

Any suggestions, besides buying a new router/modem, appreciated.

    Hello kozowh

Try to go to 192.168.100.1 see if it takes you to the modem page and should be a link to get into the router.

  • Oh, and I forgot to mention that my PC is connected to the C6300 by cable.
