Registering
Hi,
I just had the guy from Comcast xfinity try to install the NETGEAR N300 Wi-Fi DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem Router (C3000) that i recieved today. He said he couldnt complete the setup because there was an account already registered with this modem?> can someone please help me out here. Im trying to get this thing to work. The last thing i need is to return this and wait for another modem. Please help.. anyway i can cancel the existing account?

From what I gather the comcast technician is saying someone in comcasts billing system already has a the mac address registered that is on your modem this can be a common mistake of people reading off the mac address incorrectly. I would say contact comcast and see if they can get this issues resolved.
