Will the Nighthawk AC1900 (24x8) DOCSIS 3.0 WIFI Cable Modem Router replace my Qwest Q1000 modem without any problems?

You need to ask your ISP to check to see if it's officially supported on there network. If it is, then you'll be fine.

Review the C7000 spec sheet for details to compare agains the Q1000:

I'm not very tech minded when it comes to these things, but I thought I need to upgrade my modem/router because of all the equipment we now have in the house that needs wifi. Door bell, games, computer, ipad, etc.

Door bell, games,&gt; computer, ipad, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Is there some actual problem which you are trying to solve?&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A device like a door-bell may use very few resources when it's idle.Depending on the level of your DSL service, there's no particular reasonto believe that the Q1000 is your bottleneck.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Even if the Q1000 were a problem, it's a DSL modem+router, not a"Cable" modem+router, so a C7000 (or anything else with "DOCSIS" in itsdescription) would not be a drop-in replacement, if you expect to keepyour DSL service.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; And that's why it pays to explain the actual problem which you aretrying to solve, instead of asking how to implement some particular"solution" which may or may not make much sense.

it wont work. Dont buy C7000.Qwest modem is "DSL modem".C7000 is a "cable modem"&nbsp;two different technologies.&nbsp;if you get on xfinity Comcast then C7000 will work.
