Router Access Problem
I have been unable to reach the site routerlogin.net on both my phone and PC. When I attempt to reach using my phone I receive the message unautorized access; doesn't allow an opportunity to input any information - the message automatically pops up. I tried routerlogin.com - it does not recognize username (admin) and password (password). I reset the router and I get the same results.
I'm not a technical person. Is there someone that would be able to help me in layman's terms to troubleshoot this issue, please? I'm attempting to access my router in order to switch the preferred wireless mode to 2.4GHz.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of my inquiry.
A couple things.
1. many people just reboot or click the reset button. It needs to be pushed and held for up to 15 seconds while the devices is powered on.
That'll get it back to defaults that you're entering.
2. the C3700 is a dual band N600 device. Meaning it has both 2.4ghz and 5ghz and they work at the same time. You don't need to set a preferred band on the router, you just need to connect to the 2.4ghz band instead of the 5ghz on your devices. (provided you didn't set it up using the same SSID).
3. Why are you wanting to "prefer 2.4ghz"? its a slower band and more sensitive to interference. Maybe a better understanding of your actual issue might help.

Thank you kindly for taking the time to reply to my inquiry. I apologize in being tardy to your response. I appreciate you helping me to better understand my router issue. Indeed I was pressing and releasing the reset button. Your assistance was on point and very helpful in assisting me to resolve the problem I was having. I’m grateful for your knowledge and kindness in helping me. Thank you!!! - Plemans,
Forgot to answer your inquiry. The reason why I was trying to select the 2.4ghz is based on the information I received from customer support for a product/device I was trying to connect via WiFi. I was told my router was trying to connect to the device with the 5Ghz band, but their product connects at 2.4ghz. Their instruction was to set the band at the lower setting in order to connect the device, afterwards I can go back to the original setting.
