Router after c6300

I have a c6300. I also have a router after that. I use the c6300 network for my work wired and wireless. I have another router that is used for everything else in our house. I noticed WAY slower speeds on the router (I tried 2 different routers, one I already had and 1 I just purchased yesterday) and am getting the same results. That is. I get 300mbps at the cable modem wired and around 200 wireless. However, even when the other router is directly connected to the cable modem via a CAT5E cable, the 2nd router usually gets around 70mbps wired and half or less that wireless. I've even switched ports and ethernet cables, again CAT5E, to make sure neither of those were issues. Nothing changed. I did reset both the c6300 and the routers to make sure nothing was going on there. NOTHING changed speed-wise after the reset. I'm at a loss.

Does anyone have any clue?

Ok.  And is that "different" cable tested or known-good?  The LED
indicators on a C6300 may not be good for much, but can you find any
information about the physical link rate at ADVANCED > ADVANCED Home :
Internet Port : Show Statistics?  Or from the other router/WAP, or the
    computer OS?

Blame assignment is Job One.  Is the hardware working as expected?  A
bad cable or port could limit your speed to 100Mb/s.  This whole
diagnosis thing might work better if _both_ of us were putting some
    thought into it.

       Ok.

Why?  Has your (unspecified) "a router" a maker and model number?
    Connected to what, how?

Has either of them have a maker and model number?

Have you tried configuring either of these (unspecified) "2 different
routers" as a wireless access point?   Specific advice is tough to offer
    about unidentified devices.

I'd look at the TP-Link documentation to see about configuring that
        router as a WAP.
