Router log

Was having internet problems, so logged in to router just checked log by chance saw this. [DoS attack: Smurf] attack packets in last 20 sec from ip [72.174.8.77], Tuesday, Dec 13,2016 21:31:42. The Ip goes back to my isp? Any info would be appreciated. Did my isp try to dos me? One of there customers?
