slow speeds on a netgear n300/c3000

My cable modem is only at around 30 mbs wired and 27 wireless.  The spectrum equipment is around 180.  Don't want to pay for Spectrum router.  My netgear is supposed to go up to 300.  I understand it is old, but I'm hoping there is an adjustment I'm missing that will 'open' it up.  Any help is appreciated, even just to say get a new one.....thanx, ben

If you log into the C3000, get a screen snip of the cable connections page (shows upstream/downstream signal levels/issues) and the event logs. That lets us get a idea of your connection back to the isp.

Check your line for splitters or signal attenuators. remove them if you have them.

Then check the line for loose, old, bad, cheap connections. Replace them if you have them.

Check the line for kinks, damage, or cheap cables.

Reason I say this is you only have 1x locked upstream and downstream channel.

        You should have more.

Plus your power levels are low for the downstream and a touch high for the upstream. meaning either you're a bit of a distance away from the hub or you have something attenuating the signal.
