software update
AC1900 model C7000v2 No software update available from Xfinity for Xfinity to push I was told after Netgear support told me to obtain it from them. People on Internet forums state it's because of a bad updated software release in July 2022 that bricked lots of netgear products. Can anyone confirm why I'm getting conflicting info from netgear and xfinity. Router advanced settings attempting to install software update every night, advanced install failure logs, then disables internet connection. Why would this be if Xfinity was responsible for pushing the update? Purchased made 9 days ago and struggling with it ever since.

The C7000v2 is a combination device, cable modem and Wi-Fi router. The end user cannot update the firmware (not software) for this device. Only the internet service provider can update the firmware on the devices connected to their network.
