Your screen shot is not showing. In any case, most routers will, by default, not respond to incoming ping requests. There is usually a setting to control this. AFAICT, on the CG3100, the setting is under the DMZ Host section, called Respond to Ping on WAN Port. Make sure it is unchecked.

Hello TheEther. Thanks much for your prompt and understandable reply to my post. Sorry about the buggered screen shot..... but I opened the menu item you defined, the wording was exactly as you described..... and the tick box was unchecked. So I left it that way. Thanks again !! Cheers, Dave M.
