Suddenly mediacom modem not communicating with router
I do have an appointment for my cable company to come out on Friday. However, I am still working on trying to fix this. My modem work fine, I have tested out with ethernet cord and my laptop. However, my router is not getting an internet connection. I can look at the available wifi networks and it shows with bars and all but I can't connect to it. It was working before with no issue, and then all of a sudden its not working. I think my router is maybe 2 or 3 years old. Any suggestions or ideas?

Have you tried a factory reset on the devices?
try in this order.
1. Factory reset the device. Don't set it up yet.
2. Power off all devices.
3. power on modem. leave it a couple minutes to fully boot.
4. Power on your router and go through your setup.
here's your support page for the device.

I should have mentioned I have tried everything from reset to unplugging things in all orders. I have tried leaving everything unplugged and then reconnecting. I should have mentioned that inititally.

One more thing. I did come across the support page when this first started and I did try those steps as well.

when you hardwire into the extender, you can rerun the setup wizard. It doesn't have to be reset.
1. Did you try the factory reset from the extenders menu?
