How do I switch from 5 MHz to 2.4 MHz on my router

Tough to give any instructions without knowing what device is it.- Hello my model is Nighthawk CV7000v2. Thanks for reply
The C7000 doesn't have smart connect (combines the 2.4ghz and 5ghz signal into one). So it should be as simple as having the device choose the other ssid for the 5ghz.
You can log into your router and check to see what you named the 5ghz ssid
