Switching back and forth between router and bridge mode (C3700-100NAS)
Hi there,
I have a few questions about what will happen if I set my gateway to bridge mode:
- Once I put it in bridge mode, how do I manage it (can I still see its configuration web pages? Like what was previously shown on http://192.168.0.1/RouterStatus.htm, etc?
- When in bridge mode, why does the wireless stay on? Should I turn it off before switching to bridge mode?
- When in bridge mode, what MAC address is presented upstream to the ISP? Is it the CM MAC?
- If bridge mode is active, how do you switch back to router mode without a factory reset?
Thanks,
R.

Hello netgysuxy
1. Once you have the modem in bridge you would use the router login of the new router that you are bridging to the modem.
2. Typically the wireless shouldn't stay on when the modem is bridge but if it does I would shut the wireless off before bridging.
3.yes the CM MAC
4.The way to switch back without factory reset is try using your IP address that is being provided by your ISP to see if that brings up the gui or your will have to directly connect your modem with a Ethernet cord to a PC and then do the 192.168.0.1
Let me know if you have any other questions always happy to help.
