Thinking of a C7000 how does it compare to an R7000?

I currently have a separate modem and a R7000 router.   I am considering switching to an combination C7000 modem/router.  The R7000 covers my home well, and the speed is acceptable.  I see there are ...

    you dont want to put a WIFI router in a metal cabinet as that would restrict coverage. even if it is a Plastic cabinet, it preffered to keep it outside.

     

    c7000 and R7000 are both AC1900 but in general Router only units of same power offer better coverage (without commenting on specifically for C7000 vs R7000).
