Time Warner Cable CM500-100NAS approved cable modem. Retail stores sell CM500? Are they the same?

Time Warner Cable specifically lists CM500-100NAS as the approved cable modem.  Most retails stores advertise CM500.  Are they the same?  Please clarify!  Confusion because you may have renamed the product and forgot to tell your potential customers and the Cable companies.  Confusion causes anxiety and uncertainty which = loss sales = loss revenue $$$.  Because of this I may just buy the Motorola SB6183 instead.  At least there is no doubt that is the model name.  It's a simple thing.  Don't confuse your customers with similar names.

    Hello EG

yes they are the same modem the reason they are labeled slightly different is because the 100NAS is skew that is sold on amazon that has easy open packaging. So you will be fine with the CM500. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
