Unable to connect Samsung smart tv to C3700 N600 wifi network

i just had Xfinity 25 Mbps service installed. I bought my own cable modem/wifi router, model C3700. I have been able to connect all our devices except our smart tv. It never connects to either 2.4 Ghz or 5 Ghz bands. I can't use any of the services such as Netflix or Hulu. This was one of the primary reasons opted to move to a faster service and new cable networking device.

HELP!!!!!!

  • Sorry if this is a stupid question, but are you sure your tv has Wi-Fi?  What is the model of your tv?

YES it does have wifi. I used the apps daily prior to this "upgrade".

  • Can you see your router signal from the TV  set up page?

I have a Panasonic TV set and I set up when I purchased it

with multiple router chages. It is still connected without any hassles.

Yes, I can see the Netgear network, just can't connect to it. The connection always fails, trying different approaches. We didn't have this much trouble setting it up on our prior Netgear wifi network.

What wireless security mode are you using?  It's possible that your tv doesn't support the current mode.
