Unrecognised device in home network

I would first think about how many devices in your home connect you your network such as laptops, Pcs, phones, tablets, streaming devices etc... then see if that number matches up to the connected device if you still can identify the connection I would change your router password and reset it so the device will no longer connect.

I'm in the same situation. Only difference is that I have several devices connected to my home system that I either can't find nor explain. One apprears to be from Japan???
When I click on them, the "BLOCK" option is not there. Should I reboot, change PW, what? How did they get there in the first place? Did they get lucky guess my PW? Am I in any danger of these connections getting my confidential information?

If you are sure they are not something in your home that you connected then I would suggest you change the PW and reset the modem and check if they show up after your connect your devices again.

The question asked was: Why can you block only some of the devices? I have an unknown device on my network I am not allowed to block. Why is that? And how do I override it? Otherwise NETGEAR equipment is useless to me...
