usb mapping utility readyshareconnect.exe for windows ten manual is incorrect.

I got hung up on by netgear support.

I called them to locate the file readyshareconnect.exe that is supposed to be locatated at www.netgear.com/readyshare

I also would like to veiw compatable HDD list which is supposed to be located at kbserver.netgear.com/readyshare

I am suprised at the failure here. In the past twenty years I have never found any problems with manuals or provided information this is a first.

and I am finding multiple community posts... 

I want to verify that the 

Seagate Expansion 5TB USB 3.0 3.5" Desktop External Hard Drive STEB5000100 

will work. but I cannot find the compatable hdd lisI also want to permanently map the drive not have to always type in smb://sharename

so I was looking for the utility. 

I was told by the support person on the phone contact that I would have to pay for technical support since I did not purchase the device. I did purchase the device from cox cable about 6 months ago.

    Google is your friend.  

     

    I searched for readyshareconnect.exe and the first link leads to a page where you can download the program (link).

     

    I searched for readyshare compatible hdd and once again the first link was on the money (link).  Your Seagate is not listed but there should be no reason why it wouldn't work.

     

    Search for window map network drive for instructions for permanently mapping the drive.
