Wanting to escape from Wi-Fi EMFs for health reasons
I would like some advice please ( I am an intelligent 70 yr old, but not very tech-savvy ). At the moment at home I have TalkTalk wi-fi router serving the rooms in my house well. But I want to go back to wired, and escape wi-fi radiation at home. ( I have already got rid of my cordless phones and gone back to the old fashioned wired landline phone). Is there a good router I can buy ? ( I live in the UK ) . Ideally I want a router where I can occasionally switch on Wi-Fi ( for instance when I have guests staying ). Does such a router exist ? ( I surf the web a lot, watch YouTube videos, films etc ). Thanks for any good advice.....

Any Nighthawk R series router maybe good for you. You can disable the WiFi radios as needed.

Check out the R7800...
Please post more about this in this forum if you need more help regarding the R series routers:

Thanks very much for your informative reply. The Netgear R series ( including R7800) look extremely good. But for my own fairly modest needs ( small household, not into gaming etc ) I wonder if there are any less expensive routers - which have an on/off WiFi button ?

The R7000 would probably be best suited for your needs. I believe it has a wifi ON/OFF button on top for easy access. I know the R7800 does.
Good Luck.
