What is the maximum satellites supported by a CBR750?

I currently have a CBR750 with two satellites registered. An RBS750 and an RBS750P, both attached to my home network via ethernet.  All is healthy.

Is it possible to add an RBR750P as a satellite?  I've so far been unable to.  I'm not sure if the RBR750P is not supported as a satellite or the CBR750 only supports two satellites?

Thanks in advance.

Hardware Version CBR750
Orbi Firmware Version V4.6.14.4_2.3.12
CM Firmware Version V1.01.08

A CBR750 will certainly support more than two satellites.

People often report an issue on the forum with regard to the CBR750 product: When Netgear released a new version of firmware for the RBR750 router (with new features) they did not release new firmware for the CBR750 router.  If this new satellite has the newer firmware on it, the CBR750 router will not recognize it.

A suggestion.  If you have a computer/laptop with an Ethernet port, you can determine exactly what version of firmware is on this new satellite and replace it with firmware compatible with the CBR750.

    • Use a web browser to download the version of satellite firmware that is supported by the CBR750 router.
      v4.16.14.3 at https://www.netgear.com/support/product/cbk752/#download
    • Unpack the zip file to extract the *.chk file for the satellite.
    • Connect the computer/laptop Ethernet port to one of the satellite LAN ports and have nothing else connected to the satellite.
    • Set the computer/laptop to a Static IP address of 192.168.1.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0
    • Power up the satellite, hold the Reset Button (inside that tiny hole in the case) until the Power LED flashes amber, release the reset button, and wait two minutes for it to "come up".
    • Open a web browser on the computer/laptop to 192.168.1.250
    • This should bring up the satellite web Home Page. If it asks for credentials, they are "admin" and "password".
    • Record the firmware that is currently on the satellite.
    • Select the bottom menu item, Firmware Update, and follow the directions to install it on the satellite.
    • After the update finishes and the satellite reboots, disconnect the Ethernet cable.
    • Return the computer/laptop to the normal DHCP network method rather than Static IP.
    • The satellite should now sync with the CBR750.

You put that you're trying to sync the RBR750 with the CBR.

If its an RBR aka router, it won't work as a separate satellite from the cbr.

you could add it as an access point but not as part of the mesh.

Totally correct.  I read the question incorrectly. (and went off on a wild tangent.... sorry)
