wifi

Just bought a modem/router. C6300/AC1750. 

 

My wife has a iphone 7 and I have an iphone 5s.  The wifi works on my wifes phone, but I cannot get the wifi to work on my phone. Tried resetting everything on my phone, still nothing.  I am not very experienced at computer stuff. But I did get some help from people who are and they are just as perplexed...any suggestions?

    If you temporarily disable WPA security on the modem, then see if your iphone connects to the modems wifi then. Then re-enabled WPA2 and AES on the modem then try to connect the phone.

      Tried your solution, but it didnt work.  Thank you for the suggestion.  May have to upgrade phone. Which isnt the worsrt thing...thanks again
