will the cax80 get docsis 4.0 via firmware update? or are we SOL

docsis 4.0 will be rolling out and was wondering if anyone knew of compatibilities with older modems?thanks!

I believe D4.0 is a new and different hardware spec. Means new modems have to support this in HW and FW.

It is a hardware change.&nbsp;
And there's still debate on which route to go for docsis 4.0 with xfinity taking a different path than other isp's&nbsp;
