WIndows 10 Supported??? - NETGEAR C7100V-100NAS Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi Cable Modem Router

I'm looking to purchase the Fastest Available Cable Modem/Gateway for Comcast Xfinity Triple Play.

 

Based on my research, the NETGEAR C7100V-100NAS Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi Cable Modem Router for XFINITY Internet & Voice

appears to be the one. However, looking at the System Requirements on the Product Datasheet - C7100V, as well as the Specifications on various Websites such as NewEgg and B&H Photo, I see no indication that this product supports Windows 10.

 

Is this an oversight on the part of NETGEAR?

 

Through a Live Chat with a Representative of B&H Photo, I was told that "Windows 10 is basically Windows 8 with all the software and bloatware removed. So it is built off of the same OS kernel, so it would work."

 

Is that true?
