Wireless password changes back to default when I reboot the CAX30 router
When I reboot my router or it reboots after a power outage, the WiFi password reverts back to the default factory password. How do I maintain the WiFi password I entered for my network? Thanks

The CAX30 is a cable modem/router. As one of the new generation combination devices, it lets you update the firmware on the router bit.
Which version do you have installed?
It doesn't solve the problem, but you should be able to save a backup of your settings and restore them whenever this happens.
While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
For answers about your device, you might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Cable Modems & Routers
You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.- bmayrandAspirant
I'm using the latest version of firmware for this router. On the cable modem router, you can not update the version yourself. This is done be the Internet provider. I still have not figured out why the WiFi password reverts back to the default password when the router is rebooted. Thanks

The router portion of the CAX30 can be FW updated by users. Only the modem portion can't be updated on the CAX30.
