Xfinity Registration Issues c6250
So I purchased a C6250 from a previous COX user. I am attempting to register and activate the device on xfinity but they are saying its registered to another current user. The modem has never been on Xfinity network and was only used on COX and was issued by cox. Is this a situation where their are duplicate MAC addresses? Am I screwed?

You'll need to ask the prior user about this.
They may have got it from someone else who may have been on Xfinity.
See if it can be returned if you paid for it.
Whats Xfinitys policy on prior reg'd modems? They won't activate it?
Something you'll have to discuss with prior owner and Xfinity.
If anything, get into a new modem gateway.
