Additional plugs for PLW1000

Can anyone tell me the procedure for adding an additional extender unit (the one with the two aerials) to the network? Do I have to ‘pair’ it somehow ?

Have you looked at the documentation for these things?  Visit
http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look for
Documentation.  Get the User Manual and/or the Installation Guide.
Read.  I see "Add Adapters" in the Installation Guide, and "Add an
Adapter to an Existing PowerLINE Network" in the User Manual, for
    example.

Do not confuse Powerline Access Points with Wifi extenders that look like the same thing.

In reality, those Extenders do not connect to Powerline Ethernet.

One clue is how you buy them. Netgear, like most Powerline makers, does not sell single plugs, including Powerline Access Points.

If you want to add genuine Powerline plugs to an existing network, this is how to do it:

Thanks for coming back to me - you are right, I had to buy another complete set with 2 units just in order to get the non-ethernet wired unit to place in another room.

Do I still follow the 'push the Security Buttons within 2 minutes' routine to add this unit to my wifi?
